About

Silas Leavitt (pronouns he/him) grew up wandering the forests and mountains of Maine, although not always by choice. He inhaled a steady diet of science-fiction and fantasy, finding joy in works that shake genre and gender conventions and push the bounds of the weird. He studied at the University of Saint Andrews in Scotland and has a Master of Arts in Urban and Environmental Planning from Tufts University, and many of his writings involve the specter of climate change and disaster, either in the present or in the future. He attended the Maine Writers and Publishers Alliance's Harvest Retreat for fiction in 2022.
